What a Difference A Year Makes...
These pictures were taken one year apart and I thought it was neat to see how Avery has grown in the past year.
Aidan 6 Months
Our little man is already 6 months old. We went in for his checkup this week and he weighs 16lbs and 9oz and is 26 1/4 inches long. He sits up by himself now for a while until he tries to stand up or grab something (he doesn't actually stand up, he just thinks he can). Since we came back from the beach, he has been rolling all over the place. He toppled his play gym the other day by rolling around it and finally kicking it down. He's a strong little guy. He's already starting to concentrate on his buckles in his bouncy seat and carseat like he's trying to figure out how they unlatch. He loves dancing and playing with Avery. We started giving him a bath with her and he absolutely loves it. He's just gets so excited and kicks his feet. He also loves getting the pool with Avery. If I try to take him out he gets so upset. Aidan definitely has his own little personality. He still just loves if you talk to him and give him all of your attention. If he's upset for whatever reason (usually I'm changing his diaper after nap when he's hungry), I'll kiss him on the cheek and it will just totally change his mood into a smiling baby boy. He is such a patient little boy but his patience is limited and once it's run out, his little temper comes out. Here are some pictures of our big boy.
Avery Quotes
Some of Avery's recent quotes:
"I want the banana without a boo boo." (aka bruised banana)
"Aidan can't dance, he just shakes his booty."
Commenting on the delivery men that recently delivered some furniture, "Those girls did a great job! They really did." When I said that I thought they were boys, she argued with me and said no, they were girls.
"I want to wear the socks with the tutu's on them." (aka ruffled socks)
Yesterday = "last day"
Tomorrow = "next day"
Avery is constantly thinking and constantly talking. I love hearing about the world as she sees it. I know one day I won't be able to remember her "famous" quotes.
Aidan 18 months
Aidan turned 18 months last month. He's getting to be such a little man. He's a huggy bear and loves to give everyone hugs. He's starting to talk more and has started singing but we can't understand what he's saying yet. His favorite food is oreo cookies. He wakes up in the morning and the first thing he says is "Cookie, please!" He loves airplanes, trucks (especially the trash truck), choo choo trains and all things boy. He's a tv man and is pretty much always on the go except when he is sitting down watching tv. His newest word is "stop". He yells "stop" and puts his hand up. Here's some pictures of our little stinker.
